APACHE is a not-for-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors. We are not a membership organization, but instead offer a monthly newsletter, annual convention, used curriculum fair, and various events throughout the year. We encourage subscribers to use the newsletter and website to communicate with other subscribers for support, connections, and a heads-up on special events that will enhance their home education efforts.

As we continue growing in size, we hope to meet more needs of the home-schooling families in central Illinois. Our vision is to connect families with resources that equip, support, and encourage you in your efforts! We welcome feedback and want to know your ideas and interests, so that we can all use our talents and gifts to be a vital part of a vibrant homeschooling community.

We encourage you to get involved to make your teaching experience and your children’s learning experience the best it can be. If you choose to join us, please consider how you can contribute. The best way to find opportunities to participate is to network with families you meet through activities, co-ops, special events and the APACHE forum at the APACHE website.
